I have been a Beachbody coach for less than a month now and I am so excited to help others reach their fitness and health goals! So far, I have a awesome group of ladies (men are more then welcome to order programs too) participating in the challenge groups. We are achieving our goals one day, sometimes one minute at a time, with encouragement, support and motivation. However, with that being said, I feel I need to address one of the more FAQ’s I get.
One of the most common questions asked about the Beachbody programs is; “how long will it take me to lose weight?”
Some people can accept my answer of, “you get out, what you put in,” while others are a little taken back that it doesn’t work overnight or that they have to do daily workouts or stick to the eating plan.
To those folks I say, sorry, there is no magic pill that will make you lose weight overnight. Not with Beachbody, not with anyone. Trust. Me. I have looked. I have hoped. I have prayed for one for years AND I have tried them all. The only thing that is going to help you lose weight, get fit, eat healthy and achieve your goals is… YOU!! That’s right, just you. We can give you the tools, help, support and motivation but you are the one that needs to want this. You are the one that will need to make the changes, you are the only one that can force yourself to do it! And yes, it takes hard work and dedication. I finally realized that when I started the 21 Day Fix.
I hear all the time, “I don’t have enough will power to eat right or enough time to exercise for a half hour daily.” Honestly, when you say that, it tells me, you don’t really want to change. You are already setting yourself up for failure with those statements. I know because I said the same thing for months before I started my program.
I have shared these once before but I am going to do it again. The picture below is of me before and now (well about a month ago). My results came from daily workouts, eating the correct portions and types of foods and HARD WORK! Yes, I still have a ways to go, I know that (please you don’t need to tell me) but I am proud of myself and how far I have come in a little over five months.
Everyone’s reasons for wanting to lose weight, become leaner, gain muscle, get fit and make healthy choices, are all different. For me, my health and my relationships started to suffer. I found myself unhappy, distant and not sure what to do and how to fix it. I was tired all the time and I just felt horrible. I hated going out with friends or family because I felt like “the fat one” and shopping trips usually left me crying and hating who I was that much more. Please know, none of my family or friends would never say anything bad or intentionally make me feel this way. They have always been completely supportive in everything I’ve done. These were my own demons that I fought on a daily basis.
Not anymore!!! I have energy and I am healthy! For the first time, in a long time I can say I am happy and starting to feel more comfortable in my own skin.
So, if I invite you to a challenge group or ask in any way how I can help with your fitness or health goals, I am doing it to 100% to help. I am not trying to make money off of you. I have been there. I fought the same demons, fought the same depression and hated myself. I am trying to break the cycle of excuses and show you…yes, you can do this! I am proof! Will you see results overnight? No. BUT YOU WILL SEE THEM! I promise! Thirty minutes to set aside for exercise, is only 2 % of your day! Just think about what that 30 minutes a day will do for the rest of your life!
We can do this together, one second, one minute, one hour, one day at a time. However long it takes! 😉
